Description

Nowadays, green tends to conjure up comforting images of the countryside and environmentally friendly politics. While incorporating brightness of sap green and hooker’s green with the calming quality of burnt sienna it also exhibits the energy of lemon yellow. The colour directly alludes to nature, energy, and growth. Here Julian decomposed the dominant pigment of the painting into yellow and green, alluding to its contrasting effects. Through the arranged shades of green and geometric shapes, this work exhibits a rhythm, reflecting on the process of musical composition, creating powerful reactions of human emotion.

When viewed from a distance, colours blend resulting in a chromatic vibration. The work invites the spectator to immerse in colour by approaching it closer to view the texture.
