“Colour is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul.”
– Wassily Kandinsky

The predominant pigment in the painting is light blue, symbolising stability and calmness, being the colour of the sky and the sea. While its primal qualities are cool and slow, Lara introduced energy into this artwork by covering it with a multitude of warm colours.
